Many of us who write to reflect our personal thoughts find that when we reach a "certain age" (!) we begin to examine our lives and try to put those feelings into words....like this.....
Where Did It Go? I'm not sure when I noticed This passage of the years But I know it takes my breath away So I push back with my tears... It's not that I'm afraid of death I believe that there's much more The end of this existence "now" Will still leave my soul's core... Perhaps it's just the wondering Did I do all that I could Did I give of what He blessed me with Was the time I spent "for good"... Reflecting back on lessons learned When our time begins to shorten We should disregard the petty moments That we've TRIED - that's what's important...

When we were young, we had forever, not a care in the world. Now that we've aged (can we say matured?), we have many. Beautifully penned.

One of your very best, Pamela. You have incorporated so much withing the borders of this poem that we can all read, nod our heads, and say she knows what she is talking about. Impressive and bittersweet.
