Life’’s Sweet Blessings
(Sestina)

As my spirit soars with angels,
I feel heart’s completed Love
wrap around my humanity
and envelop me in peace,
whilst lifting me with tender wings.
I am filled with mortal hope and God’s blessings.

With the gift of these blessings,
and the flight of love with His angels,
I have found my wings;
I have come to know love
and the quiet peace
of my own humanity.

And now, in the midst of this humanity,
immersed in life’s sweet blessings,
there is the sound of peace
found among the company of angels,
and the gift of Love
takes flight, as if borne of silken wings. 

With the giving of earned wings,
a challenge to rise above the bonds of humanity
and glimpse this paradise called Love -
One will ever know the sweet blessings
of having seen angels,
blessèd of the Lord, carrying the bright light of His peace.

Through this sight of peace,
and the beauty of glowing wings,
I am found by angels
in the weakness of my humanity,
and am healed by the blessings
of His ever glorious Love. 

Never close your door to Love,
for, by closing out her peace,
you will forsake life’s blessings,
and the sight of new wings
and the bright light of your humanity;
Blessèd no more by the halo of a multitude of angels. 

With the love of self and the glow of wings,
peace will reign through our humanity .
and will shine with the eternal blessings of His angels.
