This is a poem from my second book of Poetry.

Come Hell or Heaven

Wheels turning
while driving in place,
Satan holds you
while GOD loves you
both with a grip
but which do you choose

One steals and deals
one gives choices and chances
with whoever is willing.

A gathering
a special communion if you will
guests lied to
guests hit with truth
this they hold both
hold tightly
while the music plays.

The heat from one
does not compare
to the warmth of the other
while the body deciphers
and the brain prepares
for the ultimate

Satan whispers while you cry
God whispers while you weep
they both remind you of self
but only one speaks light
while the other speaks dark

You enjoy the love
You hate the lies
You owe much yet
YOU OWE nothing at all
