                                      ~ Rain ~

                               Crystal clarity rain

                               for whence did it begin

A drop to a misty veil

the first drop ever do tell

                               A rain precisely drops

                               to the earth in refrain

                              Given all the moisture

                              rain drops provide

                              Heaven's gentle rain

                              ever touches the heart

                              Tippy toe splash the drops

                              ever delight in its clarity

                              Rain's crystal reflection

                              a bit of heaven

I love your poem. It shows the wonder at the first drop of rain. How did I feel when I first felt the rain? I wish I could remember.

'tippy toe splash the drops" brings back vivid childhood memories. That picture could have been me when we lived in Chicago in my pre-teen years. Enjoyed this... r

Without rain, most water would be too polluted to drink. Every drop is polluted by a single tiny fleck of dust that allowed the drop to be formed (condensed) on it. In thunderstorms, most drops of rain contain small amounts of acid created during lightning… Fusing nitrogen and oxygen from the air into nitric acid to be deposited on the soil so that plants will be fertilized. Simply amazing in creating the green heaven we call nature.
