Revenge is a dish Best, never served Preserve the life that you deserve Protect the golden moments Life’s too short for postponement Pain is hard to disregard Let the rivers motion Continue to the ocean Carrying away emotion From those whose disease Is to cause unease The wound has now departed Passed away uncharted Sunk to the ocean’s bed Forgiveness can be tough Much easier when laced with love

FROM YOUR FIRST TWO LINES I WAS IMMEDIATELY REMINDED OF, '...VENGEANCE IS MINE, SAITH THE LORD...' THEN I READ THROUGH AND THE LAST TWO LINES REMINDED ME, '...FORGIVE AND YE SHALL BE FORGIVEN...' SO, WITH MUCH EFFORT, AND THIS DOES DEPEND ON THE SEVERITY OF THE GRIEVANCE, WE 'MUST' NOT SEEK VENGEANCE AND WE 'MUST' FORGIVE. THUS, AS WE MOVE ON, HOPEFULLY WITH WISDOM, ONE NOW '...FORESEETH THE TROUBLE AND AVOIDS IT...' NEVER ALLOWING THEMSELVES TO BATHE IN SUCH PAIN AGAIN. WELL DONE AND ENJOYED, THANK YOU ANDY. So much great advice in such a short poem. Like that card my ex-wife once sent me showing a Grudge about to pull a stake holding it back from the ground. The caption read: "You can't hold a grudge!"
