Mystery Mirror
If mystery were a mirror
It would reveal reflections of you
Pieces of your jagged heart
Nothing anybody can do
To solve the broken glass
Melted into stone
Just to be hardened again
So you can be alone
The diamonds that glitter
In your eyes so bright
Tell me of a time before
I'm taken by their light
Almost as if I can't help it
But we both know that ain't true
If I could know any better
I would forget about you
To make the mistake of judgment
Thinking I'm right if I'm wrong
Is my ultimate embarrassment
The melody doesn’t fit that song
Coals that sit in fire
Get soft and float away
As ash picked up by the wind
To be used in a different way
The purpose of the morning
Begins another day
That doesn't stop the night from coming
There's nothing left to say
But when the sun returns again
It warms the air and awakes
Any sleeping memories
Waiting at the gaits
The gaits of hope and mystery
Don't work to realize
They hide the truth of strangers
When something in them dies
