Some might say that it is just an old rusty shack
No use repairing it, it'll never get its life back
With damage to the parts that protect what is inside
Memories of laughter, the place where I cried
Wooden slats for the walls no longer come together
Shrunk by the elements, ruined by the weather
Tarnished metal shingles fought the good fight
When tornado winds came late that spring night
Curled up on the edges into a twist
Where they tried to hold on but couldn't resist
But now the sunlight streams fully through
Within deep crevices giving a clearer view
Sometimes what seems like a terrible loss
Is a beautiful reminder of the bridge that we crossed
They're also a great place for a romp in the hay...
if you have a partner and some hay...
they tell me...
