Wandering Hands

How would your fingertips be...?
Hushing my speechless lips
Tipping my chin for a cool night kiss

How would your hands be...?
At the base of my neck, moving aside my hair
Gently running through endless curls

How would your hands be...?
Tracing stars upon my skin
Gliding down my bare arms

How would your hands be...?
Resting on the dip of my hips
And sliding into place at the curve of my lower back

How would your hands be...?
Running along my bare ankles
And tripping along a smooth calf

How would your hands be...?
Taking apart layer and layer of covering
To seek a naked surprise

How could your hands be
Shoved, alone, in your pockets
Silently wondering all of this....

Count yer lucky stars, m'darlin'. There are people who can do all that with just their feet.

Okay, smart ass comment aside, I was impressed by the power of your passion. I read this and then saw your bio. You're only 16? Most poets that age may not have the guts to put so much strength in their work. That you can and do is a testament to the strength of your soul. Write on, my friend.
