Yes, I admit... I am still a child!
I still run madly around you and will always cry for you, Ma.
I love your attention and will act for you instantly.
I entertain, and yet "Mr. Adolescent" here
Shouts as he tells MY story!
I had meant to write
Much smoother thoughts.
Not jeopardizing my wit and gleam.
All this time, Pa. how it gets in my way!
Just like you, I've tried everything!
Smokin' gin and drunken leaves,
Acting strong and playing weak.
I'm writing the years in a variety of ways.
But where is this theatre and when is the play?
Now that I've gotten your respect, my outcome and my
Wealth
Has been great.
You're simple plan- you’re parenting
I've placed right under
My imagined wings-My prosperity.
Now, Money is made from trees, I see.
And I am here at The University.
I often sit alone, as weirdly as it seems,
Laughing inside and smiling with the breeze.
I keep pointing and shouting!
"Look, There I am! There I am!"
Nature turns around.
Sending butterflies fluttering
The negative space into serenity,
The Beauty! That day,
You both looked up to see.
The details, the dust, and all of it's debree.
"There I am..." I confide in you now.
"In your proud hearts to be!" Figuring at this point
I was raised entertaining with glee!
Besides, if the whole world thought it so,
I also figured, You're narrow mind would find it right-
A comfortable time to live
The rest of your old soul's life.
I am determined that one day, Ma.
Pa, You will see the relief-but
Only when you smile,
Trusting me.
