During these last few years dear Mom
You have grown more dear to me
We’ve shared many talks; we’ve laughed together
You’ve given me something I never had, and that is self-esteem
I can’t go more than a day or two
Without seeing you or hearing your voice
My love for you has gotten so great
It seems that I have no choice
You have become more than a mom to me
I now consider you my friend
There is nothing on earth I wouldn’t do for you
I’m there to our journeys end
Your happiness is most important to me
This I think you know
Knowing your smiles come from your heart
Is the way your happiness is shown
If everyone in the world today
Had a mother as special as you
There would be no more tears; just laughter
Because all hearts would be true
I consider myself very fortunate
To have you as my mom
If life were like a bracelet
You’d be my lucky charm
I know this poem sounds goofy
But I thought it would bring you a smile
Take away from the daily woes
If but for a little while
There is one more thing I want to say
It comes straight from my heart
I love you mom, I’m there for you
Of my life you will always be a part.
