My second son, Danny, died three days after his brother Marc. This one is for him. Writing these things helped me cope. I pray it will help someone else to understand that life still goes on. I hope so.

OH DANNY HOW I LOVED YOU

Cute and funny, bright as a star,

His life flew by; it seemed an hour.

I think I wasn't meant to see,

When he grew up as tall as me.

Our years together were so few.

And all the time I felt he knew,

That someday we would have to part.

So I told him the secret in my heart.

How he would have a special life.

A haven where there was no strife,

A place where there would be no pain,

And his legs would not be lame.

'Twas years until those words came true ,

Yet it was shocking to loose my jewel.

A boy so full of charm and grace,

His nurses called him baby face.

To help us on that final day.

Hundreds of people found their way,

friends, and family, teachers too,

Just to ask what they could do.

Many came to bring us food,

They came to try to lift my mood,

But there was nothing they need do,

For Danny was near… that I knew.

It felt so strange to feel him there.

But it wasn't hard to bear,

'Til I recalled that I was bound,

By a promise I had wound.

How he would have a special life,

In a place devoid of strife,

A spot where there would be no pain,

And his legs would not be lame.

In a haven where skies aren't gray,
I hope to see my boy one day.

Then through sunbeams we will dart,

 Never again to be apart.

You are a very brave lady and one with much faith - for what you say is true, there is a better place. We don't have all the ansdwers but one day we will know it is a time of rejoicing for our creator is good and he wants us to be happy.

VERY TOUCHING!! I have tears in my eyes.

Beautiful write. You see you and I share similarities..for one our name..Rosalie..another is our sons..Danny..Ilost my son also..but he is not deceased. My Danny was taken from me by a women who BRAIN washed him and gave him material things...The law unfortunatly is not on my side. All I have are my tears and pain in my heart from my son choosing a stranger over his family. This lady told my son that I did not Love him and that I did not do anything for him. His Father abandoned us..myself and 4 children..three are still at home with me.. I should start writing my story...but it is too painful to deal with..You are right writing can be a great thing to do as it gets out all our emotions.. I am so sorry for your Loss..maybe you can read my poem..Holiday StarDust..I wrote it for the 911 Victims families..God Bless you!!Rose
