A poem about this great country
AMERICA America, America, land of the free, How much longer will it be? A land once full of patriot’s pride Multitudes were willing to die to abide. Where is the greatness we once knew? Why do so few care for that which is true ? Family – God – Honesty – and more Was evident here, from shore to shore. Today’s values are of great concern. We, somehow, from history fail to learn. Is anything in life really free? Will we from sensibility continue to flee? Poverty is the one thing that money cannot buy This seems to be the day’s constant cry. In all of the pursuit for tremendous wealth Morality declines into poorer health. Unwanted children are carelessly discarded. Conventional wisdom has long since departed. Self-gratification is the popular yearning, Who really cares that we are inwardly burning? What does the Almighty, in this entire situation think? Is there toward heaven a putrid stink? If ever the answers to these questions are heard, We must return to allegiance to His Word.

Amen! I served in the Navy and I mourn the loss America has adjusted to. I am hopeful though, when I read poems like these...because it means there are still people who care, and pray, and shine for Christ in these darker days. Thanks for the encouragement!

Very well said, James. Being former military myself, I am disgusted by the demise of our once great nation. Even our Congress we can no longer trust. It's become all about money and power. May God have mercy on us all. God bless you, my friend and stay well.

Indeed. America is not seen as a nation to trust anymore.
The president killed off ties with the UK so the rest of the world is going its own way. The American dream is a nightmare. In one year one man has made America a powerless joke. Denmark was his last chance to leave a mark. Now America is seen as a threat to Europe.

The children and many adults have been brainwashed, some from kindergarten through the universities for decades as we sat on our rumps and allowed it. This is the payoff. We are no longer America. We may be waking up though. Can you say Tea Party? Welcome to AD.
