A DAY IN THE SUN

The wind blew wildly through my hair

As I sped away to who knows where.

I listened to the engine and its' subtle roar

It sounded sweeter than ever before.



 

A sunny day and a gentle breeze

Provided all that aweary soul could please.

An old convertible completely restored

Removes all fear of being totally bored.



 

Hours were spent in the sun's warm rays,

Remembering earlier frigid days.

Reliving memories from an earlier time

Sure made a senior feel might fine.

'58, eh? I favored the '57. But I shan't quibble over one year, that is if I am right about the make. Kookie, Kookie, lend me . . . The Fonz, perfection on parade, all the cool cats during this era and the best damn automobile to head out to lover's lane that could possibly be. You brought back memories dear. Dolores Leveritt! Where are you today?
