BEEN THERE, DONE THAT
There are many things in life,
About which we often relate.
Some involve grief or worrisome strife,
While others, our egos inflate.
To remember a period of childhood,
Is a thing many folks do.
To reflect on experiences which were good,
While, perhaps, learning something new.
The birth of a sibling is to most,
A remembrance that bogs the mind.
It’s something that never gets lost,
And about which, they’re quick to
remind.
The death of a loved one is found
In the memories of many, ‘tis true .
While focus does not there abound,
It often makes one blue.
Perhaps an unexpected move
From the only home you’ve known,
Does not any more behoove
To not grimace, or even to groan.
All of us can surely relate,
To all of the above, and more.
Some we try to negate,
Some we genuinely adore.
You have a gift of putting profound things into verse.
Keep on sharing the thoughts of your heart, brother.
