Man’s waywardness comes from deep within
From where unrighteousness does begin.
The heart of the problem is the problem of the heart
It is there that new life must get its start.
Newness of life comes from above,
Given by means of a Father’s love.
For this assurance to be ones own
That love must be personally known.
When this gift has been properly received,
Based upon how one has believed,
A new man then the world should see
As this one from sin has been set free.
