Such a tragedy.
If I could be a snowflake today I'd softly blow around. The wind sweeping me to and fro gently toward the ground. Before I land & melt I'd travel to where you are hoping to catch a glimpse of you standing with your door ajar. The heat would rise above you. I'd try to stay away. So your warmth wouldn't melt me On this spot today. I'd rather watch you from afar with a smile upon your face Then hurt you in unimaginable ways as I melt destroying your heart. The second stanza is perfect, what a great image of the person in the doorway. I like the idea of this one.

And what a gorgeous snow flake it would be. Watching it fall towards a very warm heart. To imagine such a sight is the majesty of this superb romantic piece. Outstanding write!
