At my age, this is purely of a speculative nature. But I dimly remember a time...

To be aflame, afire with Lust

is... well, an existential must.

Infrequently a total bust,

when thou surrenderest to Lust!

I pulse, I pound, I throb with Lust.

My eyes grow wild, my hair gets mussed.

I'm breathless, panting, quite nonplussed

at how relentless is this Lust.

Still, in the fevered grip of Lust

is when good morals start to rust;

and so do common sense and trust,

all oxidized away by Lust.

Plus, wrongly yielding to such Lust

might kick up lots of nasty dust:

you'll find yourself reviled and cussed,

and left with aught except your Lust.

Be cautious, for this thing called Lust

is mighty tricky to adjust.

Please, have a care! As we've discussed,

don't throw your life away for Lust.

LW

I lust. It's a part of my everyday routine...lusting libido is crucial to my personal inspiration to write...but, as you say, "don't throw your life away for Lust." Good poetry on one of the Seven Deadly Sins, Lannie.

Warmly,
Sage
