When days were bright and nights were long
we knew that we were wise and young.
We loved away the days and nights,
we sang the songs and tripped the lights;
believed that friends would always be
nearby to join in our revelry.
Now days are short and memories fill
the dark of night when cold winds chill.
We thought that wisdom came with age,
but all the years were just a stage
where we were actors, courting time,
trying to paint our own design.
We glance behind at years gone by,
at how the hours did laugh and fly;
we think of friends we walked beside,
the web of love and joy cast wide;
and wonder when the heavens' turning
changed all our dreams into a yearning.
I look back into my lifetime's haze -
when did they become the good old days!?

These are the good old days in the future. As good as we make 'em..

The dance of wisdom under the music of beauty is on "The Stage".
Each verse-dancer performs its finale to give pass to the next to complete the performance.
I have enjoyed a wonderful show.
