This little piece was originally intended as the opening for something grander, but the more I looked st it, the better I thought it would be standing on its own
MY “IF”
If the boy I was
Met the man I am now,
What might he say?
“You have gone so far
In the years since I was you
Have you learned anything
In all that going?”
That's interesting. Looks like a lot of growing up.
I can't relate because I was grown up my time I was 10 or so. Got me a lot of trouble when, during my teen years, I stayed calm watching other teens do stupid things in a wild effort to grow up and not succeeding very well.
