Technology that quit on me.
Sitting in the family room All is quiet - like a tomb. Unplugged the TV sits After nine years, it quits. Children run around oblivious Not at all lascivious For the mindless entertainment Of an infotainment.

I rarely watch TV, but I do use it for exercise DVDs and movies. I have a tiny little TV in my bedroom that I turn on for noise as I fall asleep, funny how it works too, I turn it on, turn my back to it and slip right off to sleep, without it, my mind rambles through so many things it takes me quite a while to go to drift off. Nine years is a pretty good life for a TV and they just keep getting cheaper and cheaper to buy.

I too have unplugged from the TV lately but wonder with the amount of time I spend sitting here if I just traded one electronic friend for another. Good write.
