Struggles with health issues, pain, and recovery. Seniors still want to active and helpful.

My body seems to be rebelling, day after day there’s more pain.

My mind is planning more things to do, but my body is just not the same.

Will I ever again be able to do all that my mind conceives?

Or will I lose power day by day, as a tree in the fall loses its leaves.

I know that my age is a factor, and I won’t be as I was years ago.

Old age doesn’t have to be useless, many seniors are still on the go.

So I guess I’ll do my best, I pray for help every day.

I want to help others as long as I’m here, not be someone who’s just in the way.

Help me, Dear Jesus, to prosper. I want to be of service, not served.

Don’t let me be a burden for others, let me be more than just someone “observed”!

That's a wonderful attitude. The best we can do is get up every day and do the best that we can do. If that's our only reward, it will be enough.

I try to ignore it, Kathern, and go on as though it didn't hurt.
It's not as easy as it looks, is it?
It's a comfort to know that God knows, and He is with us through it all, and He has an assignment for His children throughout life. Sometimes it's to pray, for self and others. Sometimes it's just to smile at those who don't remember how to. And always, to trust Him.

You are an encouragement!
