The Midnight Raid On Donuts

Poem Artwork
-->That box of donuts just proved too much for Shadow
Just Too Much for this Master Thief, he couldn't take it
So he decided to launch a daring Midnight Raid last night

He said that he was goin'
He said that he was goin' back to find
Goin' back to find
Ooh, what was left of those truly delicious donuts
Those delicious donuts his humans had left behind
Not so very long ago, on that old kitchen counter top

He was leadin' (leadin')
That Midnight Raid On Donuts
Leadin' That Midnight Raid
He said that he was goin' back
He said the he was goin' back to find
Those remaining donuts on that counter top
Oh yes, he most definitely was

And Jack and Tater were with him (I know they were)
On that Daring Midnight Raid On Donuts, just last night
They would rather go with him, on his numerous Midnight Raids
Than be left behind, to live in a world without any donuts themselves

And this morning, my irate spouse is left without any delicious donuts
Oh yes, she is (she now has absolutely no donuts, at all)
And of course, I am the one being blamed for this latest Midnight Raid On Donuts
Although she was the one, who had left those donuts there on that counter top overnight
Oh yes, she was

Great parody of that classic song. You're right, you're wrong and there's nothing you can do about it as long as she's in charge of the kitchen and you're in charge of the damn dogs. On the other hand, it's a good thing for you and the bad thing for the dogs. You are avoiding that artery clogging sugar shock this morning and the dogs are probably soon to go into anaphylactic shock from eating stupid human food. ;-)

Everyone love donuts,
even the dogs.
A midnight raid,
and they turned into hogs.

Donuts taste good,
right from the box.
I'll bet next time your wife,
puts them in a cupboard that locks.
