Aching Hunger

For too long, they have cooked in separate pots, with little appetite for sweetness and spice. Nothing remains But an aching hunger. The pots feel so heavy now, Should they bother lighting the stove? Or will they cook in separate kitchens? The ingredients lie waiting listlessly for the cooks' decision.
