And Thus We Become
Behold our destiny; our end. Within the confines of dirt and rock what was once us is no more. Here lies the remains of love, hate and the forgotten dreams of yesterday.
We were once young and the world was ours to have. The days were often then filled with joy and sometimes sorrow, yet as the years began to grow heavy upon us those burdens were but a tiny grain of sand compared to what was too quickly to come.
Think now and ponder youth and remember. Think of how small and insignificant those days were compared to life ever changing today. Then look at the bones in that grave. Look at what we shall become and vow to be kind whilst there remains time.
For when all is said and done, and dirt and rocks cover our remains, everything we have done afore this day will be the only thing that will say... we once were.
All of our hopes and dreams have now vanished and we are now the sum of who we once were and never will be anymore.
Therefore look once more at the bones that claim this hole and ask yourself who was this person and what was their legacy in life?
If you answer that you don't know, thence the same will someday be said of us all and thus we become.

thank you so much for sharing it.

The only thing that gives us immortality are the ideas that we leave behind. We must therefore go boldly into our lives, do as much as we can, and then hope that we will be remembered amidst the millions and billions who are not remembered.
