Inspiration
an internal spark
lit by a forerunner
passing through.
sagginess'
carried on well worn planks
finger paints out of time
revision here and there
discerning observations
filtered
and
reworked
adding insight
a light of awareness.
nagging words and notes
like a giggle running amuck
a voice directing thought
the truism
to be conveyed.
Yet one must know when the art is perfected, as if that were possible. But al least know when any more edits or additions make the work overcooked. So much wisdom here.

There is genius in this little poem. A distillation of a lifetime searching for the truth. I especially like the word "sagginess" and its application here.
Well this is beyond belief so "real" for me as I am rereading my latest manuscript for a book of short stories (very few) and quotes (quite a few). I feel "intimate" with what you have shared via your verses, Thomasena. Thank you. Love and best wishes,
Eh . . . You took this subject to the limit in my opinion. Taking everything to the nth, you worked it all down to the last two cool lines where you took truth to your bosom. Loved it.
