They came by the boat loads
strangers dragging chains
and giant noise makers in their hands.

Thunderstick volleys of thunder booms
recoiling missives recited in a voice
foreign to a listening ear.

Sails flapping in the breeze
waves  rolling gently to shore
waiting patiently
a new direction to go.

We watched with confusion
wonderment in slow motion
surrounding the misinformed
gathering at the edge
praying to a God unknown
to take the bounty home.

This is certainly thought-provoking, Thomasena. You made me think about "them." Love and best wishes,

They came and they conquered by thunder stick, deception, and disease. And now they think they own the place that they took without payment of any kind except slaughter.

Who do they think they are?

Ron
