A prayer and blessing for my daughter, as she departs for a year in Africa.
you thought you had all you needed all you've learned and known now it's time to set it aside to open your heart and soul to a brand new home remember loving kindness never fails compassion and care your daily companions courage and modesty in demand quiet and calm blessings when in doubt foster curiosity and respect savor your moments steep yourself in a world unknown home will be waiting with room for the woman i know you will be

A wonderful sendoff. I'm sure she will come back with a lifetime of memories whatever venture is. A year is a significant investment in her young life filled with action.
