rescue a damsel in distress,

slay a Dragon, save a Kingdom,

be a rip roaring success?

No dragons to slay

sad but so true ,

yet here is one thing

I can tell you

You can still be a hero where you are

tho you probably won't be on TV

be a friend to someone who's hurting

so they can be who they were meant to be

Perhaps their Dragon is a writer's block

or a hurt they carry from long ago,

your words of light may be a ray of hope

to ease their wounded soul

they thought would forever be,

behind plastic smiles lies a wounded heart,

that many will never see
