Poem Artwork

Tiny spike heeled feet tapping out
encroaching, retreating patterns
to a fevered hot Latin Beat.
Cause flurries of satin swirling
from gyrating sensuous hips
and rolling matched near clad breasts.
Head thrown back swaying ryhtmicly
tossing, jostling and throwing
ravenous underwing tresses.
Passionate lucious lips parted
pink tongue flickering to echo
abandoned trilling through pearls.
While beads of excitement glisten
on enraptured participants
a visual delight for all.
Then the climatic final beat
brings dancers and viewers applause
for the enticing rendition.

Hey Budd, you've captured the scene so beautifully! We often visit nearby Granada city where, on many stages passion is created before our eyes by swirling dancers, and duende, the spirit of flamenco, envelopes us...

There is something so exciting about this hot Spanish treat. Perhaps it is an escape from Catholic tyranny. In my mind I'm hearing Cream singing, “Skip the light fandango…”

Once had a speech professor, drama coach who liked to tap her heels and gyrate her butt to show off her Spanish heritage.

Oh yeah, I was there observing the satin swirling amid those gyrating sensuous hips. Oh yeah, I was there.
