This is about as romantic as I get in my poetry....;>)
Ice formed on bridges
giving us another day of weekend.
I awoke at nine to find you
sleeping soundly beside me.
gray barren harsh light
took on a glow around your face
and beard.
Your hair with it’s unpredictable
curls lay upon the pillow.
Your eyes slowly opened
as I questioned your presence.
A wonderful surprise, no work today.
Hot coffee, toast and the newspaper
as we lean against plush bedding
and touch arms, legs, feet.
We light the fire and watch a movie,
laughing hysterically together
because we enjoy the same things.
We stay in our pajamas all day.
We go our separate ways in the
rambling cabin where we live.
Time and space to create or do nothing.
I wash clothes, you explore the computer.
we bump into each other and stop
to embrace, kiss and speak our private language.
We never tire of each other’s company.
We never tire of silence or communication.
We play music that travels around rooms
and we celebrate nineteen years
of an ever growing love.
I agree with the board below completely Janet
This is touchingly romantic and beautiful
May you's have many more happy years to share together with the Grace of God !

Sublime! Thank you for sharing such touching and intense, gentle intimacy that is both warm and sincere... also effortless, which is probably why it has wonderfully lasted blissfully for almost two decades! :)) I wish you at least two decades more!! Bless you both... sounds like you truly deserve each other. LOL Kate xx
Oh my Janet it doesn't get any more romantic than this! As for my taste this is perfection! Thank you for sharing this intimate beauty!
A keeper to treasure!
What a magical, tender, sweet celebration of your wonderful relationship with your best friend and hubby Eddie. Life should be FULL of these moments.....and I know you are relishing each and every one of them.
So wonderfully sincere and confessional... to yourself. Whether from real life or not, bhis is a soft and reassuring look at love in marriage... with a future. I like, in particular, the line;

THIS is more romantic to me and other, I dare say, than the mooning, fawning lines often attributed to "romantic" poetry. Ya did good, hon.

A people’s heart can be found in their poetic words. In history men and women have stood firmly upon their soapboxes and street corners, rallying the deepest beliefs of people to rise up and be heard. The poetrypages.com has offered that voice a new
