I stretch my injured leg out
in the warm, green rehab pool
reassuring voice and kind eyes
of the therapist, imbues strength,
and a little more oomph
to try harder and complete
the exercises
In the far corner,
a woman is lowered on a ramp
into the pool,
Her wheelchair sits empty
near the edge
Prayers ripple
from all our hearts
in ever widening circles
