a natural primordial Eden, 

lush, verdant habitat 

unspoiled, unsullied 

by man's vanity 

and greed

Teeming with rare 

and extraordinary creatures 

pulsing with screeches, 

songs and ancient melodies

Scarlet red parrots 

with rainbow wings 

soar through its 

mysterious foliage

Impish, inquisitive monkeys 

trapeze artists swing 

and chase each other 

in gleeful somersaults

Vividly colored snakes and frogs 

deadly jewels adorning

the wildwoods 

caution us loudly

Waterfalls, crystal nymphs 

hidden in the cascading 

diaphanous curtains 

smile innocently 

shyly covering their 

shimmering bust

we gape in wonder 

at our primeval origins 

our Spirits bathed 

and refreshed
