Dreams, of a garden of beautiful flowers
as a single rose, one sparkling magnet of beauty
watered every day, petted and stroked
treated like a queen, soft and pure
cared to outshine the whole outdoors.
Dreams, as that one rose in a garden
to see the talking hands, the watering can
feel the embrace of the sun
the cool of the wind, the softness of the rain
bathing my petals, keeping me vain.
Dreams, as the only rose in a garden
the queen above the rest
to rule divine and pure, give them all the allure
of my simple petals, my stalk, my stem
invigorate in my beauty
to share it, only with them.
Dreams, as the queen of this garden
bright and exploding, to beckon the faithful hands
to sprinkle me, to treat my friends
even under the dark knighted lamps.
I am their queen in this luscious garden
so mellow and complete
they only need to stick with me
to be gifted, treated sweet.
Honeysuckle, daffodil, marigold, my strong bond with you,
and you others, I am your queen, I do love you too.
