Along the dusty road
we watch the fields
where seeds have been sowed
and where gardens have been rowed.
Yellow, blue, pink, orange, red
colours blended and interbred
further and further we drive
to still see more succulent flowers thrive.
Succulent to the thirsty flittering bees
in little swarms, searching for their mid-day teas
pleasantly, we continue to drive through the dusty road
with our hats and sunshades on
while the glimmering sun pours its dazzling
pelting rays down on.
Now, we begin to see the fruit trees
laden and luscious, as we begin to smell the seas
mouth watering, dripping fruits to nip our taste buds,
as we stop to beg some
and they bring baskets a-hurry to give
as they tell in toothy smiles, this is
the way to live.
It is time, we have neared the seas
its salty smell purging our nostrils
makes us weak to our knees
rushing, hypnotising waves belting the shores
again and again
and we prayed that God would keep away the rain
the engine of the car has been put to sleep
as we prepare for the sea to end our weep
of long, long years in the icy, wintry snow
where wooden limbs and hands were made
as we tossed our mindless brains to and fro.
The change is good, as we bathe and lust
the waters, as we sensously ride the rising waves
just for starters
then we shall take the boat out deep
us two alone, while the waves begin to gently sleep.
Ships pass us by
aeroplanes fly the sky
and soon, we were on our way
to end the start of a beautiful day.
