Black tourist
Surrounded by water this cold murky isle
It seems we will stay for quite a while
Parents that came in the wind rush the banana boat
1 suitcase, hopeful dreams and a big thick coat
Invited by politicians to help the country rise
But they faced hostility `oh` what a surprise
No Blacks, Irish or dogs
Stared at in the streets these black gollywogs
How could they of got it so wrong coming here
The land of fish and chips, racism and beer
Most people accepted my father and mother
Now England is home to me and my brother
Unemployment, riots and substandard schooling
Who do these people think they are really fooling?
Placed in small area`s the rough inner city
Strong and resilient the women are pretty
I've visited so many Caribbean Islands, oh what a dream
Still our parents came here to get the cream
Leaving behind blue waters, hot sun the idyllic life
Now for a harsher struggle and strife
Decent work was hard to find for so many
The English want you to sweep the streets for a penny
Just as predicted by Enoch the white purist
We are only tolerated and are the black tourist
