There’s a [special] kiss that happens to us,
if we are fortunate enough in our lifetimes.
Kissing a soul mate is one of those times when it happens.
It is the type of kiss that repeats…
each time with that [special] someone.
You NEVER tire of kissing that person – [EVER!]!
Each kiss with that soul mate brings its own special memory;
its own indescribable passion and power;
TREMORS and… MORE tremors!
Weak knees and glassy eyes,
each lover making love with lips and tongues
in a world COMPLETELY REMOVED from here!

That special kiss not only "stops speech" ...
    it lingers...
like the sweltering steam from a long summer day, refusing to leave,
even long after the heated embrace
of the burning tumultuous sun upon the pavement...
has removed the searing lips of its rays.

It STOPS our breath... briefly;
it causes our hearts to skip a beat…
[or two];
it makes EVERY fiber in our bodies tingle,
from head to toe and,
for a brief indelible eternity,
such a kiss holds captive the hands of time,
while you and I – inseparably entwined -- BECOME ONE,
as the world no longer matters.

And... once we part, the memory of that kiss
leaves us both with an UNBEARABLE ACHE
that will remain...
until once again our lips touch one other... softly and passionately,
then ravenously rapt in one another, where they belong,
smoldering together in the unbreakable seal of two made one.
