We pause today to give thanks

To all those who served

Buut thanks for one day only

Is much less than they deserve

Some of us do but our tour,

Others may do two or three.

We may get stationed near home, 

Or far across the sea.

Some may serve in combat,

Living through peril or strife.

Some pay the price for frreedom,

In the losing of their life.

If in the past someone has served,

Or is serving yet ,

It only takes a moment to,

SAy,"Thank You!" to a vet.
