Moms Are A Blessing

This is Mother's Day number three without my mom. I've written so many poems in her honor. This one is dedicated to my mom and every mother on this glorious day. Moms truly are a blessing.

 Moms Are A Blessing

What can I say I've not
said before,
God give me the words
I'm searching for.
Ones that describe what
she mean't to me,
keeping her memory
alive and free.
Touching the hearts
of others who know,
what it's like to
miss our mothers so.
Briefly she comes like
a butterfly,
in an instant she's gone
as time passes by.
What can I say I've not
said before,
how can I honor
my mother more?
These words may be simple
heartfelt and true ,
my mom was my rock
the sun shining through.
This world may be dark but
God assigned us a mom,
giving us strength on earth
and beyond.
Power we'll treasure
here and above
Moms are a blessing
created by love.

Not all moms are a blessing, Kathy. Mine certainly wasn't.

Beautiful the blessings of a mother. Lovely tribute to
the mother you love. My mother passed one year and a day ago.

Grace has gone before us.

Kathy,

My Mom passed at 39 years young. She got hit by a car as she crossed the road. She left eight kids behind, me the oldest. I had alot of responsibility as a teen. I miss her so much, Kathy. For those still blessed enough to have their Mom's cherish them.

Love and blessings,

Linda
