You hit me so hard
I hunched over
Falling down to my knees
Gasping for air
As I tried to get up
I felt another blow
The pain more intense
Then the first
The weakness of my body falling
My inner self dying
No strength left to lift my soul
I crawl to a corner
Hoping for my recovery
As the tears stream down my face
Consumed by my thoughts
With the desires to get up
Knowing if I rise again
It will be to face another battle
Which I don’t have the strength for
I could not withstand another hit
Was it something I did to deserve this?
Will you ever stop?
As I sit on this cold floor
Holding my legs close to my chest
My head bent over on my knees
I know this battle is no where near the end

This is a strong and powerful poem that many of us can say- been there done that- which is really a sad thing.
The part where you asked, is there something I did to deserve this? NO, it wasn't you, it was some idiot who doesn't respect himself or life. The main part of your healing is to realize it wasn't your fault. Keep letting it all out with your writing and the healing will come.

Welcome to the den! Very powerful write. The emotional battle is a difficult one, that you have capture extremely well in this write.
