Song lyrics for bluesy country-western

I’m tired and I’m hungry, for somethin’ like wine

Sweet and with body, that I can call mine

A vin rose lady to, drink through the night

And reach for in the mornin’, to open my eyes.

The down-and-out revivals, of the plans for yesterday

Are the walls that I bang into, when I try to run away

Runnin’ from nowhere just as fast as I can

And just as soon as I get there, I’ll be back where I am.

O, oh impossible dreams, and terminal schemes,

Somehow it seems I just can’t take anymore;

And though I rarely ever win, I’ll never give in;

Most like I’ll stick around for, that occasional score.

I’m told that life, it don’t come easy, but I beg to disagree;

It’s decidin’ what to take and what to leave that’s hard for me;

So many shapes and colours, I just can’t make up my mind,

And sure enough when I’ve decided, I wake up without a dime

O, oh impossible dreams, and terminal schemes,

Somehow it seems I just can’t take anymore;

And though I rarely ever win, I’ll never give in;

Most like I’ll stick around for, that occasional score.

Well, Ron Hall (see review of these lyrics by Ron), do not know what to tell you since the last line of the chorus, to be sung at least twice, IS in fact the "hook" line. Of course, it may be hard to notice that at first since there is no music break, or transition riff to hear.

Great lyrics, just needs a "hook."
