An adolecent in the eyes of others
Eyes lurking from a far
Their thoughts and opinions linger in mind
Wondering of what they are
But knowing they can't be too kind
Those stares that seep to the bone
Weighing down on us to find out why
If only we had known
Age becoming a wedge
Splitting us a part
Taking us to the edge
Thinking of how different we may be
Could the style of music change the way we see
Going back to the time of " The Zombies"
Comparing them to " The Black eyed peas"
Or even "Bee Gees"
And "The Black Keys"
We see with our ears
But can we hear with what we see
To them we're an adolescent
But to us we are competent
Could it be that history repeats itself
On a loop like reruns of our favourite shows
Becoming just another trophy for the shelf
Or could it just be that bad apples spoil the rest
A few still ripe for the taken
Trying to separate themselves to leave the nest
And if they manage to split from the pack
Things still become out of wack
Only to be forced to experience the glares by elders
Your still just an adolescent in the eyes of others
