Even though there are times when things are extremely hectic and unsure, there is one constant that can always be relied on. I’ve seen sunrises and sunsets in many different states (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, California, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri and Florida), but I have never seen as stunning a display as the ones here in Kentucky.

The clouds may roll in
They may even block it out
But you can rest assured
This light never actually goes out

It may hide in the shadow of the Earth
It may set for the day
But it will show it’s true colors
Twice a day

Beautiful, vibrant, breathtaking and stunning
That’s how I describe this twice daily event
Sometimes it even brings a tear to my eye
And I wish I could capture this lovely event

Beautiful pinks, reds, oranges and blues
Sometimes a hint of purple too
It’s the most beautiful thing for the eye to see
It’s even better when you share it with someone like you

To sit and watch the sun do it’s daily hello or goodbye
It’s a wonderful sight even on a cold December morning or night
Sitting all snuggled up with the one you love
Makes it an even better event whether it’s morning or night

The next time you fell lonely or sad
Take the time to stay up late or wake up early
And let the most stunning sight on Earth lift your heart
It may even change your soul
