You lighten our hearts
Even as you kill

Even as we tremble in fear

I shiver at the thought
Of what she’ll do next
I boarded up all the windows
And locked the doors
I don’t sit in the dark
I sleep with a light on
I’m not afraid of the dark
I just don’t want to be her next mark
I just refuse to be caught
Lying in bed without a care in my head

I do deserve it though
Especially since I started it
I couldn’t resist
It just came over me
I read about her being dead
And thought of a scientist
Holding her head
He laughed out loud and said
“Bring me that cow and I’ll just take Kate’s head,
Then I’ll put her brain in and see what she says!”

“I’ll start with you first, after you put my brain back in my head.
And once you’re dead I’ll reattach my head.
Then no one will be safe anywhere in the den!”
