Tears, fears, pain…
I’ve sent them all packing
I don’t want them back
I never want to see them again
But the harsh reality is that they’ll be back
My tear, fears and pain
Were washed away by the cleansing rain
The cleansing rain that is your soul
You are the reason why
I sometimes find it hard to cry
Don’t take it wrong
I know we belong
But sometimes you know just what to say
To bring out the rays
To help brighten my days
Most of the time
You just hold me for a time
And wait for the moment
When you feel that moment
You bring out the rays
Sometimes it’s a simple phrase
Sometimes it’s a little game
A game of words
To help wash away the pain
And bring out the rays
The rays of hope can be hard to find
And I sometimes wonder why
Because as long as we’re together
We can handle any rough weather
And we make it through one more day
I see no rays today
Maybe because you’re away
Maybe it’s just one of those days
That keeps away the rays
What day are you coming home anyway?
