Robin's out of town again, for work, so I'm here with the cats....It never fails though...the instant I lay down I have lines of poetry running through my head and by the time I get up and grab my glasses so I can see I've forgotten most of them...

Dot sleeps on the bed all day long
Without a care in the world because nothing can go wrong

But I’m so lonely when you’re gone
So I crawl onto the bed
And lay my head on her hip
And give her a scritch

Dot sleeps on the bed all day long
Without a care in the world because nothing can go wrong

So there I am on the bed
My head on a cat’s hip but
While I give her a scritch
Her tail tip starts to twitch

Dot sleeps on the bed all day long
Without a care in the world because nothing can go wrong

She gets so moody
When you’re not around
So I lay my head down on my arm
And continue to scritch

Dot sleeps on the bed all day long
Without a care in the world because nothing can go wrong

But she can’t be appeased
And I watch the tail tip twitch
Even though she’s purring
She’s contemplating clawing

Dot sleeps on the bed all day long
Without a care in the world because nothing can go wrong

Oh what I would give
To have you in my arms
Oh what I would give
To be in your arms

Dot sleeps on the bed all day long
Without a care in the world because nothing can go wrong

She finally gets mad and
She jumps off the bed
Now I’m even more lonely
And I lay here crying on the bed

Dot sleeps on the bed all day long
Without a care in the world because nothing can go wrong

Why can’t I be like Dot
Sleeping on the bed all day long
Without a single care in the world
Cause to her you’re never truly gone

At one time or another I believe we all have wished we could be, change places with a pet. Nice pondering here. I enjoyed a peep into yours and Dot's world!

I miss you too. And you're right, I'm never really gone.

Love you,
Robin
