I keep a notebook beside the bed
Cause it never fails that the instant I lay down my head
Millions of lines start running through my head
And it makes it so hard to go to bed
Mouthy cat is on the bed
Wondering why I’m not in bed
Meowing off her stupid head
Wondering when it’s time for bed
But lines are running through my head
And if I don’t write them down I’ll never get to bed
But it makes me wonder why it’s only when I lay down my head
That suddenly there’s so many lines running through my head.
