The ZEN-KOAN as Poem -The Same Question - IX

The Master said: "Can you catch Time ?"

Said Monk-Disciple 1: "Yes, if you played hide-and-seek with It."

Said M-D 2: "But if It's a HER, 'She doesn't give you time for questions/As she locks up your arm in hers/And you follow till your sense of which direction/Completely disappears/' "

Said M-D 3: "Time can never mend/The careless whispers of a good friend/.../I'm never gonna.../Guilty feet have got no rhythm/"

Said M-D 4: "... you look so cold tonight/Your lips feel like winter/Your skin has turned to white.../.../I'll wake you tomorrow/..."

Said M-D 5: "Searching for a destiny.../there's another place, another time/.../Could it be that it's just.../Putting me back in all this confusion?"

Said M-D 6: "People talking without speaking/People hearing without listening/People writing songs that voices never share/"

Said M-D 7: "Sitting on the fence that's a dangerous course/.../Some of you mothers ought to lock up your daughters/.../Now heap big trouble in the Land of Plenty/..."

Said M-D 8: "The time has come/To say fair's fair/.../ It belongs to them/Let's give it back/.../How can we dance when our ..... is turning?/How can we sleep while our .... are burning?/"

Said M-D 9: "She's got blisters on the soles of her feet/.../Probably been moved on from every place/.../'Cause it's another day for you and me in ......./"

Said M-D 10: "We're all prisoners here/Of our own device/.../You can check out any time you like/But you can never leave.../"

Said M-D 11: "Empty spaces, what are we living for?/Does anybody know what we are living for?/Does anybody want to take it any more?"
