Life is Funny That Way

When life places someone like yourself in your life it is for you own good.

I find it amazing how two total strangers meet for some like reason.

Sharing a commonality brings like-minded people together.

It is not important the medium that life uses to accomplish this feat.

It’s only important that like- minded people meet.

Sharing email, small talk on the phone, dreams, or desires, places us with them in their hearts and minds.

I can only think that it is a positive in all aspects to be around those like me.

Not clones of my make-up, but individuals who share common ground, but walk a little different. Ah, a spice of life is in the differences of others that are not our own. Situations, thoughts, ideals, and desires may be the same, but not the people.

Realizing that each of us seeks to be around those with common bonds give us a small foothold into their life.

If life allows friendships to bloom from the common buds, then our individual strengths are made manifest through our friends.

Friendship is a two-way street. One dies without the other. One way friendships never survive on the highway of life.

Real friends are the like the first blooms of spring. Fresh, pure and beautiful. Always wanting to please the other in some small fashion.

A small town girl meets big town guy or country boy meets city girl doesn’t matter. They share common bonds that mold their special friendship even though many miles and miles separate them or they live just up the road.

They’re seldom the boy or girl next door, but staying on common ground, keeping in touch and sharing life experiences places them next door. Just knock and the door will be opened.

It is a blessing to have real friends this way. People coming together for the common good for how and what they believe will always be special.

I have met many different people in my travels, but I don’t remember meeting any strangers.

Life is funny that way.

This poem has touched my heart on so many different levels. It is full of sage advice.
This the line that sticks in my head and heart:
People coming together for the common good for how and what they believe will always be special.
Yes, life is funny that way.
God bless you,
Kathy
