Every time I hear the rolling thunder
I reach out to catch the rain.
Pouring hard and fast cascading over my
hearts dam. Flooding my soul.
Yet I have been through storms before,
and I stand steadfast and erect as the tempest
taunts my mind. The tow tries to sweep me away
and the rapids swirl in anger around my body.
Forever, filling my mouth with the taints that try
to haunt me. The storms always pass and the
freshness and beauty of the day explodes on me.
I am free to just be who I am and am destined to be.
Surrounding my life with the power of friendships.
We build once again the dam over my heart.
Each time stronger it gets until time stands still and
the storms bother me no more.
Not an easy task, one that deserves a poem!
