Two drops of black blood on brown

Steel cold flesh,

wiped by the same hands that did slave inspections

 same hands that gave you a Lethal Injection.

 hands that set Fires

 burned and Choked throats

 killing      Castrating Culture's

 before they were Born....

 Lynching Laws for Slaves eternity

 Hands that  hid pride, education,and Books

Boy grows up,

No home

Playing

With street made toys

Raggedy couch someone threw out

for hide a seek.

Torn refrigerator box for

 sled and skis

There were no proms, no lessons on puberty.

Smiles not returned make a heartless History

of poverty, of Pain that Never goes away.

Then you don’t feel a 'Thing'

How do I survive?

I said how do I sur-vive!

You watch my back.

 I watch yours .

Power in numbers, tired of being hungry,

Better, jack something!

Better steal, or you will not eat

you know where you live

How we be!

Picture me standing in line at the food pantry!

Not enough time gotta make a dime to survive

Then you dont feel a Thing.

Gang is about survival

Violence is about uneducated,

 frustrated, hated and

Mislead.

Can't swing on poverty’s monkey bars forever.

Be stand up and correct

Still go down wrong.

Work all your life

Still suffer from neglect.

Brother here was not made for you. From the Floor

to the LAW!

Guess next time

They will leave a Warrior alone in his land.

With his pride

 his Culture

 his Laws

 and  his laughter..

Teaching his sons and daughters

with the , Sun shining on his face

in the cool clear blue water

in the green lush land where he was born

Teaching other warriors to survive

Where he belonged.
